Hollow Shoulder Tool
The hollow-shoulder tool is a unique
specialist tool, ideal for making joints on "knockdown" or rustic furniture. The
curved blade gives a slightly concave shoulder between the larger diameter of the
feedstock and the joint size.
For "green woodworking" see Mike Abbott's book "Living Wood" page 167 for using the 17.5mm Hollow Shoulder tool for shrunk tenons.
 Four
sizes of
this tool are available, (1/2)" (12.5mm), (5/8)"
(16mm), (11/16)" (17.5mm) and (3/4)" (19mm). The entry size of all four tools is
1(3/8)". Additional reducing guide bushes for the entry size can be supplied.
